Edition Rumeur des Ages, La Rochelle 2001 In her novel, Florence Gourier questions the permanence of writing in its sensitive reality.

About the artist: Godelieve Dupin de Saint-Cyr was born in Brussels and grew up in Brazil. She trained in Paris at the UCAD (Union centrale des Arts Décoratifs). With a constantly attentive spirit, she revitalises the profession of bookbinding. She is an artist and teacher, thoughtful and spontaneous. She discusses with students, colleagues and her friends Sün Evrard and Marie-Pia Jousset. Her binding concepts lead to an elegance of style, a discretion of intervention and a rejection of all taken-for-grantedness. Their work is a subtly modest contribution of pure beauty to the art of bookbinding. Godelieve Dupin de Saint-Cyr is one of the outstanding personalities of the Ateliers d'Arts Appliqués du Vésinet, which is renowned for the quality of the courses it offers. Seduced by books, she has dedicated her career to bookbinding, teaching, mar-morising, sharing her knowledge and communicating her enthusiasm. ‘Passion, discipline and high standards’ could be her motto.
